College of Science Centralized Portal Privacy and Policy
If you proceed to use our Portal, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Portal. We will not use or share your private information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
Definitions
Account - meaning, an account created by the user to access our Portal to process any documents connected to the College of Science.
Personal Information – refers to any information whether recorded in a material form or not, from which the identity of an individual is apparent or can be reasonably and directly ascertained, or when put together with other information would directly and certainly identify an individual. This is deemed to include sensitive personal information and privileged information.
Portal - refers to this website.
Private Information –refers to personal or confidential information directly or indirectly by, originating from, pertaining to, under the possession of, owned by, or related to the University of the Philippines System, including the University of the Philippines Diliman, and their respective units, personnel and representatives.
User - a person who visits and uses a session to a website.
Information Collection and Retention Policy
This policy will set the required retention period for the data we collect and set the minimal requirement to be applied when it comes to revoke the information within the Online Document Processing Portal.
This policy applies to all College of Science Dean, Associate Deans, Directors, Faculties, Admin Staff, Graduate and Undergraduate Students in which the Portal serves its functionalities. It is the responsibility of all of the above to familiarize themselves with this Policy and ensure adequate compliance with it.
The information we collect about the user will be used as long as their Working Position/Designation to the College of Science is STILL ACTIVE. We can revoke the functionality of a USER depending on the status of their Position/Designation.
Data Confidentiality
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any data that you use on Online Document Processing Portal resources that are not accessible to the general public. It may include data, such as:
Intellectual property, such as report drafts or research in progress, Proprietary data, such as data owned by a specific institution, or licensed applications. Regulated data, such as medical, personal identifying information, or student records.
